Recipe Checklist — Automate a Restaurant

This is a markdown checklist, not a React app or external download. Copy it into your notes, print it, or tick mentally each session while playing Automate a Restaurant—the Roblox incremental simulator from m_experiment (released May 25, 2026). The goal is simple: turn the loop (farm → rare ingredients → recipes → serve → drones → production line → co-op) into visible milestones so you never wonder what to do next.

Pair checklists with Discover Recipes, Best Recipes, and Drone Priority so boxes reflect your save, not generic advice.

How to use this page

  1. Start a session with one section only—avoid checking everything at once.
  2. When a box is done, note date + dish name in your own log.
  3. After patches, revisit Updates Hub and reset sections that balance may have changed.
  4. In co-op, assign sections to players before anyone spends shared funds.

Phase 1 — First crops (manual foundation)

  • Joined the correct place: Automate a Restaurant on Roblox
  • Finished basic tutorial / HUD tour from Getting Started
  • Planted first repeatable crop cycle without running out of seeds
  • Harvested manually and stocked the kitchen fridge once
  • Identified which crop regrows fastest on your current plot
  • Grouped same-timer crops in one farm lane for later drones

Exit criteria: You can complete plant → harvest → restock twice in one session without confusion.

Phase 2 — First recipes (experiment log)

  • Ran first intentional experiment (not random spam only)
  • Logged ingredients → result in a notebook or phone note
  • Discovered first repeatable dish you can cook ten times in a row
  • Sold plates to customers and noted coins per minute rough estimate
  • Checked Best Recipes criteria against your discovery
  • Visited Rare Ingredients guide before hunting flashy rares

Exit criteria: One staple recipe funds the next experiment batch without bankrupting inputs.

Phase 3 — First drone roles (automation)

  • Read Unlock Drones and Drone Priority
  • Unlocked harvest drone (default first for most solo saves)
  • Verified drone path covers your main crop lane without idle spinning
  • Unlocked serve drone when customer queues stall sales
  • Unlocked cook drone when prep steps block experiments
  • Confirmed you are not using unverified scripts from Scripts Hub

Exit criteria: At least two drone roles handle tasks you previously did manually every login.

Phase 4 — Layout milestones (production line)

  • Drew or mentally mapped harvest → prep → cook → serve flow
  • Moved one station one tile closer to remove a obvious backtrack
  • Separated slow crops from fast crops to reduce drone travel
  • Tested rush window with friends or NPC peak without jamming cook
  • Applied one tip from Production Line Layout
  • Documented layout version (v1, v2…) before co-op friends rearrange stations

Exit criteria: Finished plates reach customers without you carrying them across the map.

Phase 5 — Co-op shared restaurant (~10 players)

  • Read Co-op Shared Restaurant before inviting a full group
  • Agreed who owns harvest, cook, serve, and rare hunts aloud
  • Avoided duplicate drone purchases that waste shared currency
  • Called out station moves before deleting someone else’s layout
  • Synced recipe tier targets so one player is not hoarding rares
  • Rechecked Codes Hub together if a promo rumor appears (none verified Aug 2026)

Exit criteria: One co-op session ends with shared upgrades, not silent griefing.

Optional maintenance (weekly)

  • Skim Updates Hub for balance notes
  • Re-test one S-tier and one B-tier dish from Best Recipes
  • Re-evaluate drone order if menu became cook-heavy
  • Bookmark Links Hub if group or Discord invites rotated

What this checklist is not

  • Not a code redeemer — use How to Redeem Codes when verified promos exist.
  • Not a script loader — automation belongs to drones, not executors.
  • Not a recipe formula dump — log your own experiments honestly.

Work one phase per session. Checked boxes mean your restaurant grew on purpose—not because a random video mixed up Run a Restaurant with the game you actually play.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is this checklist a downloadable app?

No. It is markdown on the wiki—copy the sections you need or track progress in your own notes while playing.

Which phase should new players start with?

Phase 1 (first crops) and Phase 2 (first recipes). Do not rush drones until manual harvest and serve make sense.

How does this work in co-op?

Assign phases or tasks to players—one harvest lead, one cook lead, one rare hunter—and check boxes together after each session.

Should I reset the checklist after updates?

Reset recipe and drone sections when the Updates Hub reports balance changes. Crop basics usually stay valid.

Can I replace this with scripts?

We do not recommend scripts. Use drones and layout guides—the checklist tracks those legitimate milestones instead.
